Derek & Rachel - Aldergrove Wedding [Saarbank Farms]

As soon as I met Derek & Rachel for coffee, I knew they were my people. The conversation was fun, and there were so many things we had in common. These two are so down to earth and easy going, it wasn't difficult to envision what their wedding day would be like! I was SO excited when they asked me to be their wedding photographer, because, to be honest, I was already looking forward to shooting their engagement session (Check that out here) and wedding at that point!

When I arrived in Langley to start documenting the girls all getting ready, I walked into a very fun, relaxed atmosphere. We got to the ceremony with plenty of time to spare, where Derek got his first look at his beautiful bride as she came down the aisle. After some beautiful vows and some happy tears, the new husband and wife celebrated their way back up the aisle with their bridal party!

We headed out to do bridal party photos at Saar Bank Farms in Abbotsford. It was my first time there, and It's one of the prettiest venues I've seen, so as you can imagine, I was in my happy place! We started out in the field for some portraits and took advantage of the sunset for some beautiful light! Once we ran out of daylight, we moved to the hayloft, where there were some gorgeous string lights! We had a bit of time before they had to be at their reception, so I was able to get creative and use some OCF (off camera flash) to create some unique portraits for Derek & Rachel! It's a little different than my usual outdoorsy look, but I love how they turned out!
